Welcome 49er Federal Credit Union!

January 1, 2014

Dear Member,

The votes are in. 49er Federal Credit Union members overwhelmingly approved the merger with Sierra Central Credit Union.  On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff and members at Sierra Central, we welcome you to our family.

The merger was completed on January 1, 2014. For a period of time, we will need to operate as two separate entities until we complete the work to consolidate the two businesses. As a former 49er FCU member, we ask that you continue to use the former 49er FCU branch located at 225 Placerville Drive to perform your transactions from January 2, 2014 until June 1, 2014.

By June 2, 2014, we will have completed the account integration and will have relocated your accounts to our Placerville branch located at 3964 B Missouri Flat Road. This is a temporary move that will allow us to renovate the former 49er FCU office.  We have already begun a process to look at solutions to renovate or replace the former 49er FCU office to improve the facility, parking and ingress/egress. The renovated facility will include the newest in technology, updated furnishings and a décor that represents Sierra Central’s community business brand. Once the renovations are complete, the office located at 225 Placerville Drive will become the primary Sierra Central Branch location in Placerville.   We apologize for this temporary inconvenience but we believe that the renovations will be worth it.

Also, in the coming weeks and months, Sierra Central will be sending you information regarding the merger and account consolidation so you will know what to expect. In April and May of 2014 you will be sent a welcome kit which will contain conversion information and frequently asked questions about the transition to Sierra Central CU.  Here are some of the benefits you can look forward to:

Online banking, online bill payment and the ability to move funds online to and from accounts at other financial institutions
Access to over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs at Co-Op CU Service Center outlets in all 50 states
Mobile apps and text access to your account information
Additional services such as Variable Rates Visa Platinum Credit Cards
      Plus much more

We are excited about this new relationship and look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Sincerely,

John Cassidy
CEO
