Red Bluff, California is the home of the historic Red Bluff Round-Up. The Red Bluff Round-Up is one of the largest rodeos in the western United States and was first held in 1926. The town of Red Bluff is named after the surrounding-colored cliffs. The town began as a shipping center for steamships plying the Sacramento River from San Francisco, California.
