SCCU Account & Security Alerts (Non‑Marketing)

Purpose:

Receive automated, time-sensitive messages about your Sierra Central CU account activity, fraud/security alerts, one-time passcodes, and service notices. These messages are informational only, with no marketing content.

Consent Statement (Prior Express Consent)

By enrolling, you agree to receive informational text messages from Sierra Central Credit Union at the mobile number you provide, which may be sent using automated technology. These messages will not include advertisements or promotional content.

Fraud / Identity‑Theft Exemption

Certain fraud or security alerts maybe sent under the financial-institution exemption, provided that they:

  • Are strictly limited to fraud, security, or identity‑theft notifications
  • Are concise and devoid of marketing content
  • Are sent only to the number you provided
  • Include a clear opt‑out mechanism (e.g., reply STOP)
  • Are limited in frequency: no more than three messages per event over three days

We process opt‑outs immediately for fraud-related messages.
