Our scholarship program has grown and expanded from a few small scholarships to twenty $1,000 scholarships awarded to deserving high school seniors, current college students and prior winners still attending college.

Deadline for returning completed scholarship applications is April 1st, 2022.


  • Graduating high school senior.
  • Current college student.
  • Past SCCU Scholarship Winner still attending college.
  • Applicants must be a current member in good standing or have a parent or legal guardian that is a member in good standing.
  • Completed application.
  • Current transcripts.
  • Completed biography questionnaire.
  • Written essay.
  • At least one reference.
  • Open to all career fields.

Applicants must be Members in good standing or have a parent or legal guardian that is a Member in good standing. You can establish Membership and an account on our website by selecting "Open An Account" and completing the process.

Scholarship recipients are determined by a panel of judges based on the completion and quality of a biography questionnaire, essay, grade point average, demonstrated leadership skills, and active participation in a variety of school and community activities.

Application packages must be fully completed with transcripts, biography questionnaire, essay and reference(s) and returned to Sierra Central Credit union by regular postal mail. Please indicate on your biography questionnaire if you are a high school senior, college student or applying for a renewal. Incomplete applications will be disqualified. All information received is considered confidential and is reviewed by the Sierra Central Scholarship Committee and its designees.
