Anderson, CA 96007
Anderson California is a city in Shasta County California, approximately 10 miles south of Redding. Named after Elias Anderson, a ranch owner, who owned the largest land grant in the vicinity. Railroad activity came to the area in 1872 and Elias Anderson granted the Oregon and California Railroad trackage rights and land for a station. The town’s Anderson River Park sits on part of the original land grant owned by Anderson.
With the main industry in Anderson being lumber up until a few years ago. It is now well known for the many retail stores including Shasta Outlets and a new Wal-Mart Supercenter across the street from the Shasta Outlets in 2006. Our newest Sierra Central branch location, opened in November 2016 is between the Wal-Mart Supercenter and Shasta Outlet stores.
